A school’s anniversary is an important part of the school’s celebrations. It is a day we get to reflect back on the past and think about what we have achieved and what we can do to better in the years to come. It bonds the students as one as they take part in the celebrations.

Each student’s expectations differ regarding what needs to be changed for the greater good of the school. And one suggestion that came from a majority of students was to implement new policies that are more beneficial for students.

One of our 9 th grade students expressed how they felt about school anniversaries by commenting, “I love celebrating our school anniversary, because it gives us an opportunity to put in our joint efforts to mark the anniversary”.

A student from the 7 th grade added, “I always enjoy taking active part in our school anniversary celebrations. It is such a lovely feeling with all the students from different grades coming together to help in decorating the school and to take part in the
cultural programs.

Although the students are very enthusiastic about the anniversary celebrations, it is expected to be damper than our standard celebrations because of the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Nevertheless, the students are as high-spirited as ever! And that
is very evident from the comments they gave about how they felt about this year’s school anniversary.

Anniversaries are an important part of anything. Celebrating it helps us look back at how far we have come and helps us set goals to make the future brighter. It’s also important for teachers and the management to discuss how they can help students achieve better grades and to make the lessons more enjoyable.

And to conclude, I will put it out there that I look forward to an anniversary where we will never see face masks, sanitizers, social distancing and plenty of unrestricted social gatherings.
